In the production process of car tires, molds are important mechanical equipment. The quality of the mold directly affects the quality of the tire. The surface of tire molds will have carved patterns or other patterns, and the molds are often used in high temperature and humidity environments. There are two traditional cleaning methods for tire molds:
Mechanical cleaning method
Using manual sandcloth or steel wire physical grinding and dry sandblasting, different combinations of cleaning can be selected according to needs.

2. Simple and easy to operate, with low requirements for equipment and tools.
disadvantages:
1. It can cause mechanical damage to the mold and shorten its lifespan.
2. Sandblasting treatment can easily block the exhaust holes of the mold, and the workload of clearing the exhaust holes after sandblasting is significant.
3. Causing high labor intensity and long cleaning cycles.
Chemical cleaning method
Chemical cleaning methods mainly include: organic solvent method, melting method, acid washing method, alkali washing method, etc
advantage:easy to use and low cost.
disadvantages:Long term use of the above methods can cause mold corrosion, directly affecting the appearance and quality of the product. At the same time, these pharmaceutical raw materials pollute the environment and damage the health of operators. Therefore, it is necessary to have complete labor protection measures and pollutant treatment equipment.
Principle and advantages of laser cleaning tire molds
Laser cleaning of tire molds technology is a process that utilizes the characteristics of high energy, high brightness, and good directionality of lasers to destroy the force between pollutants and object surfaces, thereby removing pollutants without damaging the substrate.
Laser cleaning of tire molds is a process of selective evaporation of dirt on the surface of laser cleaned materials. Different materials have different laser energy absorption rates for specific wavelengths. When the absorption rate of the attachment on the surface of the material is greater than the absorption rate of the substrate, laser irradiation can instantly raise the temperature of the attachment above the melting point and cause gasification. The resulting surface interface gasification phenomenon does not damage the substrate as it cannot reach its melting point.
