The power battery pack is one of the secondary structures that make up the power battery system. The power battery module is assembled from multiple single cells in series and parallel. The connection and fastening between the single cells requires the connection between the connecting piece and the battery. The pole contact resistance is small, anti-vibration and high reliability.
The welding of busbars can be said to be more important for the welding of power battery packs. The use and thickness of busbars are different for all manufacturers. All of them generally customize the laser welding equipment for battery busbars according to their own production requirements. HGLASER can customize according to customers. It is required to customize laser welding equipment and configure appropriate fixtures to meet the needs of automated production.
Power battery module busbar laser welding requirements:
Commonly used busbars for power battery modules are: nickel sheets, copper-aluminum composite busbars, copper busbars, total positive and total negative busbars, aluminum busbars, and copper flexible connections, aluminum flexible connections, and copper foil flexible connections are also used. Wait.
The processing quality of busbars and flexible connections needs to be evaluated from the following aspects:
1.Whether the material of the bus bar meets the requirements, if the material of the bus bar does not meet the standard will increase the resistivity, especially it needs to confirm whether it meets the relevant requirements of ROHS.
2.Whether the key dimensions of the bus bar are processed in place, the over-tolerance of the key dimensions may lead to insufficient safety distance between high-voltage devices during the assembly process, and cause serious safety hazards.
3.The bonding force between the soft connection and the hard area, and the stress absorption of the soft area.
4. Whether the actual processing soft connection and the overcurrent capacity of the bus bar meet the design standard, and whether the insulating thermoplastic sleeve is damaged.
Power soft pack battery busbar laser welding method:
1) Welding difficulties:
The material is thin, and multi-piece stitch welding is easy to weld, resulting in insufficient strength and poor electrical conductivity.

Control the flatness of incoming materials;
Design fixtures with excellent performance and control the clamping gap.
2) Welding difficulties:
Insufficient width of weld joint leads to insufficient strength.
solution:
The small core fiber laser is selected, and the swing welding is adopted.
