In the welding of battery parts made of stainless steel, good welding results can be obtained by pulsed or continuous laser welding; however, the welding of aluminum alloys is more difficult, and some problems will be encountered during the production process. The welding surface is convex or concave, and there are internal Small pores, etc. This situation generally occurs because the laser output power is too high during welding, the welding speed is fast, etc., or it may be affected by factors such as the cleanliness and purity of the material itself.
When welding the components of the battery, the thickness is generally within 1.0mm, most of which are 0.6mm and 0.8mm. The welding methods are mainly divided into side welding and top welding. There will be certain spatters in welding. The advantage of side welding is that The splash will not easily enter the inside of the shell, and the impact on the inside of the cell is very small.
When laser welding aluminum, it is easy to produce bulges, bubbles, etc. The main reason is the laser power problem or the fiber core diameter is too small. Although the welding effect of aluminum is also related to the cleanliness of the material itself and the stability of the material, the main factor is the stability of the laser power output. The fiber continuous laser welding machine can continuously weld with stable power, and can also easily weld aluminum materials with high reflectivity.
