A laser cutting machine is composed of machine tool bed, laser, water chiller, exhaust dedusting device and other components. Among them, the chiller is an important component related to water, which is related to the normal operation of the entire laser cutting machine. The laser cutting machine processes materials by converting electrical energy into laser. In the process of photoelectric conversion, some electrical energy is converted into heat energy, which will do harm to the laser. The chiller is required to cool the laser and cutting head through water circulation. The normal use of the chiller components of the laser cutting machine can protect the laser cutting machine, especially the laser. If the chiller cannot work normally, the laser cutting machine cannot operate normally. Generally speaking, the following three types of water can be used for the water cooler of metal laser cutting machine:

 

1. Purified water

 

Pure water removes all electrolytes and non electrolytes in the water, which can also be said to remove all non water substances in the water. They are basically prepared by reverse osmosis. In reverse osmosis pretreatment, most of the non electrolytes are first removed by activated carbon, and the conductivity is very easy to measure, so the purity of pure water is usually measured by conductivity.

 

2. Distilled water

 

Distilled water is water distilled and condensed from steam. Generally, large-scale water production is obtained by condensing the steam generated by boilers. Distilled water is formed by evaporation and condensation of ordinary water, which still retains the characteristics of distilled water, that is, water molecules are slightly ionized, producing few hydrogen ions and hydroxyl ions, while deionized water is water that maintains its molecular state and does not produce any ions.

 

3. Deionized water

 

As the name implies, it is to remove all ions in water, except hydrogen ions and hydroxyl ions, which are produced by ionization of electrolytes dissolved in water. That is, the electrolyte dissolved in water is removed. Since the ions produced by electrolytes dissolved in water can increase the conductivity of water, the purity of deionized water is naturally measured by conductivity. Deionized water is basically prepared by ion exchange method. However, deionized water may contain non electrolytes that cannot be ionized, such as ethanol. It depends on whether the rust is too serious. Just change the water frequently.

 

However, when using the laser cutting machine, many operators find that the water temperature of the laser cutting machine occasionally rises too fast, and water plays an important role in the fiber laser cutting machine. So, what are the reasons for the rapid rise of the water temperature of the laser cutting machine?

 

1. When the metal laser cutting machine is running, the ambient temperature is high.

 

2. The workload of metal laser cutting machine is too large.

 

3. The metal laser cutting machine works for a long time.

 

4. The temperature will be too high if the return of the cooling water outlet pipe is abnormal and the water flow circulation is not smooth.

 

5. The water inlet pipe and outlet pipe of the pump are dirty, the water pipe is blocked, and the water flow is not smooth.

 

These are the reasons why the water temperature of metal laser cutting machine rises rapidly. In fact, troubleshooting these exceptions is very simple and easy to operate.

 

We all know that the laser cutting machine needs a lot of water to cool the high temperature in the laser tube to ensure the normal use and service life of the laser tube. However, when the laser cutting machine is used normally, the water temperature in the cooling water tank is easy to be too high. Especially in summer, the laser cutting machine will overheat in just 2 hours. If it is not replaced in time, the power of the laser tube will decrease significantly. Furthermore, cold water installations are particularly important. The cooler of the laser cutting machine must be maintained regularly to ensure that the machine is in good condition. In case of any fault, please remember not to deal with it by yourself, but ask professional technicians for maintenance, and do not disassemble the machine by yourself.

 

In addition, pay attention to the daily maintenance of the chiller. First, the cooling water replacement cycle of the laser cutting machine. In a high-quality environment, such as a laboratory or an independent air-conditioned room, the circulating water of the chiller can be changed every six months or every year. If it is easy to be polluted by the external environment when the environment is relatively bad, such as when it is used as a cooling machine for wood carving machines, it is recommended to change the water once a month to one and a half months. Or add anti scaling agent to reduce scale generation and prevent waterway blockage. Under normal circumstances, the water chiller can be replaced once every three months. However, pay attention to regularly removing and washing the dust screen and cleaning the dust on the condenser of the chiller to ensure better operation of the equipment.

 

Besides, we should pay attention to the routine maintenance of the chiller. The specific maintenance methods are as follows:

 

1. Turn the power switch of the chiller to ON, and the chiller will start. Turn to OFF, and the chiller will be turned off.

 

2. When the chiller is running, it should be placed in a ventilated environment and the ambient temperature should not exceed 40 ℃.

 

3. Temperature setting, when starting. When the temperature display screen is flashing, it is in the temperature setting mode. Press up and down to set high temperature water and low temperature water respectively for cyclic regulation.

 

4. Set the low temperature water of the chiller at 20-25 ℃ according to the ambient temperature. The normal temperature water is set at 26-30 ℃ according to the ambient temperature.

 

5. Ensure the power supply, current and voltage of the chiller are stable, normal and smooth.

 

6. Regularly replace the circulating cooling water, generally once every three months.

 

7. Clean the dust accumulated in the condenser and dust screen regularly.
