What is a laser marking machine? It is a kind of machine that uses laser beam to make permanent marks on the surface of various materials. At present, the laser marking machines mainly used by companies are mainly divided into the following types:
1. Fiber laser marking machine
This kind of machine uses fiber lasers which are characterized by small volume (using air cooling device rather than water cooling), good beam quality (basic mode), and maintenance free. It is mainly used to mark and engrave the required characters, patterns, bar codes and other graphics on plastics, electronics, metals, ceramics, tobacco and other materials.
UV laser marking machine is developed by using 355nm UV laser whose ultraviolet light focusing spot is extremely small and therefore can greatly avoid the mechanical deformation of materials and have small processing heat impact. It is mainly used in products with higher requirements for words and patterns.
3. Semiconductor laser marking machine
Its main application field is the same as the fiber laser marking machine. However, with the increasingly fierce market competition and fast progress of fiber technology, now this kind of machine on the market has been gradually replaced by the fiber laser marking machine.
CO2 laser marking machine is mainly used in some occasions requiring high precision, such as food, medicine, leather, tobacco, wood products, electronics and other non-metal industries. Its effect of marking is more fine and beautiful than that of silk screen printing and ink-jet.
5. End pump laser marking machine
These machines use the solid-state laser pumped by the semiconductor laser, and injects the laser crystal from the end face after the fiber coupling. The pump beam enters the gain medium and overlaps with the cavity mode space to the maximum extent, so that the laser output with high power and high beam quality can be obtained. The main application industry is also the same as the fiber laser marking machine, and the performance is similar to the fiber laser marking machine, but its peak power is higher.
6. Green laser marking machine
It is mainly used for surface and internal marking of glass and crystal products, ceramics, metals, electronics, plastics and other products. It belongs to the category of cold light, and is also applicable to some products with large heat response and high precision.
7. Flying laser marking machine
It boasts the dynamic marking function developed on the basis of the above-mentioned laser marking machines. It is mainly used in the assembly line operation. It can mark the products in 360 days without restriction, and can automatically generate the serial number and batch number, thus greatly improving the production efficiency of the enterprise.
When selecting the laser marking machine, the manufacturer should first consider the material of the processed products. Different materials have different requirements for configuration parameters. For example, the marking equipment of fiber laser is generally used for metal engraving, and the marking equipment of carbon dioxide laser can be used for non-metallic materials. It is recommended to use ultraviolet laser marking equipment for ultra-fine marking and drilling.
The main product parameters of the laser marking machine include: laser type, laser wavelength, laser power, marking range, engraving speed, etc. the marking range is determined by the field mirror, and the marking speed is also affected by factors such as product material density, marking depth, marking size, etc.
The configuration and selection of laser marking machine are recommended as follows:
1. Laser, which is the core component of laser marking machine, its quality is one of the main factors affecting the marking effect.
2. For the laser power, when the material of the processed product is determined, the model with the power meeting the processing requirements shall be selected, but the high power shall not be blindly selected.
3. The function of the field mirror is to focus the light from the vibrating mirror on a plane. The field mirror determines the marking range. When selecting a laser marking machine, it is necessary to define the marking range of its own products, determine it according to its own needs, and do not blindly seek to increase it.
4. The laser marking machine can be divided into two types according to the working mode: static and flying. It is recommended to select the flying laser marking machine for marking the products on the conveyor belt, and the static laser marking machine is used for static secondary processing. In addition, generally speaking, the larger the laser power, the more heat it generates. The cooling mode should be air-cooled or water-cooled according to the heat.
